Galvanometer is a very sensitive instrument. It is a device for measuring small amount of electric current.
Principle of Working of Galvanometer
The principle of Galvanometer is based on the interaction of the magnetic field produced by a current flowing in a conductor and the magnetic field of a permanent magnet. In this instrument electrical energy is transferred into mechanical energy.
Kinds of Galvanometer
There are two kinds of Galvanometer.
1) Moving Magnet Galvanometer.
2) Moving Coil Galvanometer.
