Categories of Friction
There are two broad categories of Friction:
1) Contact Friction
2) Fluid Friction.
1. Contact Friction
Contact Friction arises when one solid object is set into motion across the surface of another solid body.
2. Fluid Friction
Fluid Friction comes into existence when a solid object moves through a fluid.
