How many kinds of Motion are there?

Kinds of Motion

There are three kinds of Motion:

1) Linear Motion

2) Rotator Motion

3) Vibratory Motion.

1) Linear Motion

The motion which is associated with bodies moving in a straight line is called Linear Motion.

Examples

1) Motion of car on straight road

2) Flying of Aero plane.

2) Rotatory Motion

The motion of bodies moving in circles is called Rotatory Motion

Examples

1) Rotation of earth about its own axis

2) Rotatory motion of an electric fan.

3) Vibratory Motion

Those bodies which vibrate or oscillate arc said to have Vibratory Motion.

Examples

1) To and fro motion of a swing

2) Vibration of the wings of the birds.
