Representation of a Vector

Q. How is a vector represented?

Representation of a Vector
A vector quantity is represented graphically by a straight line in the direction of the vector. The length of the line on a certain scale gives the magnitude of the vector and arrow head put at one end of this line gives the direction of the vector. The vector is thus represented by this line. The starting point of the line is called the tail while the arrow is the head of the vector.
