Application : To the Inspector-expressing concern about the lawlessness prevalent

To the Inspector-General of Police (Sind) expressing your concern about the lawlessness prevalent in your locality
12/4, Shah Faisal Colony,
Karachi.
April 09, 2014
The Inspector-General of Police,
Government of Sind,
Karachi
Dear Sir,
I, on behalf of the residents of Shah Faisal Colony, take the liberty of bring to your notice the state of lawlessness that prevails in this area. Some undesirable elements have entered into the facility and have made the life of the respectable people miserable. A tea stall by name “Happy Tea Stall” is the centre where the bad characters assemble. At the back of the stall there is a room where the addicts of narcotics get together. They also run gambling dens. Time and again, these people visit the houses of the respectable persons and extract money on this or that pretext. If any one refuses to pay they make hell with him.
Ladies cannot move freely from one house to another. Occurrences of theft have become a common feature in the area. In short, we are passing our days under terror and threat of these scoundrels.
Many a times we approached the local police stations and reported against them but in vain. No action has been taken as yet.
I, therefore, earnestly request you to look into the matter and direct the official concerned to put a stop to such unsocial activities and thereby save the society from getting further polluted.
Yours faithfully,
XYZ
