To the postal authority requesting the opening of a new post-office in your locality
Block No. VIIC.
Sir Syed Town,
Karachi.
April 25, 2014
To,
The Post-Master General,
Karachi.
Dear Sir,
I, on behalf of the people of Sir Syed Town and surrounding area, beg to approach you for kindly sanctioning the opening of a branch post-office at Sir Syed Town. In support of the propriety of my prayer, I beg to submit as follows:
a) Sir Syed Town is an enlightened locality, having a population of about 20,000. There is a Boys’ high School, a Girls’ Lower Secondary School and a primary school, all located within the same premises.
b) Most of the people of the locality are educated and arc to carry on correspondence with people outside.
c) The only post office of the area is located at a distance of three miles from Sir Syed Town. This causes great inconvenience to the people of the locality.
d) There is a pucca vacant house within the school compound. If necessary, this may be made available for the proposed post office.
I would request you kindly to take the above points into your consideration and sanction the new post-office at Sir Syed Town at an early date.
Yours faithfully
XYZ
