Think before you act
Short Story on "Think before you act"
Once there was a fat fox, who lived in a small forest away from the city. For some times he was hungry as he could not hunt any smaller animal for several days. It so happened that he saw a crow sitting on a high branch of a tree with a piece of cheese in its bleak. Being so hungry, he desired to eat the cheese himself. But, it was not at alt possible for him to jump on the branch of the tree and snatch the cheese from the crow.
The fox was very clever indeed. He hit upon a strange kind of plan to get the price of cheese. He began praising the crow in a loud voice.educationsight.blogspot.com He said that the crow was a swift bird, who could fly better than all other birds and man-made aeroplanes, which were always disturbing the animals and the bird world. Then he began talking about the voice of the crow that was sweet and honey-like. He requested the crow to sing a song for some time to his pleasure.
The crow was really flattered to hear his praise from the fox. He could not control himself to hear the talk about his sweet voice and singing. He cawed and cawed and sang and sang a beautiful song about his beloved. And, he did not see the piece of cheese falling to the ground. But, he saw the fox jump in joy. Soon he found the fox eating something, flew to a lower branch and saw to his great sorrow that the fox was eating his own cheese, which had fallen because of his own foolishness.
