Once, a man had a strange hen. Its colour was snow white and its beak was red. The most wonderful thing about this beautiful hen was that it laid a golden egg daily.
The man sold it and earned a lot of money. But he was so greedy that he could not wait for a long time. He wanted to be rich in a short time. He hit upon a plan. He slaughtered the hen to have all the eggs at a time. When he opened its belly he was much disappointed to find that there was only one egg in it. It was a great loss for him. He wept bitterly but it was useless to cry over spilt milk.
Moral : Greed is a curse.
