Natural Magnet
The mineral consisting of Iron oxide (FeO4) has got the property of attracting small pieces of Iron and the mineral is known as Natural Magnet.
Pole
The two ends of the magnet where the attraction is maximum arc known as Poles.
North Pole
If a Magnet is suspended freely than that end of the magnet which points towards the North is called North Pole.
South Pole
If a magnet is suspended freely then that end of the magnet which points towards the South is called South Pole.
