Description of Apparatus
The apparatus consists of two small spheres each of mass m fixed to the ends of light horizontal rod suspended by a thin metal wire. Two large spheres of each of mass m were placed near the smaller spheres. The attractive forces between the smaller and larger spheres caused the rod to rotate and the wire gets twisted. The angle of rotation of suspended rod was measured by mirror arrangement.
