Why do we say that Law of Gravitation is a Universal Law?
Law of Gravitation as Universal Law
Newton’s study of Planetary motion led him to formulate the formula for the gravitational forces between two masses. The law is referred to as Law of Universal Gravitation. Newton realized that the gravitational attraction is applicable not only to the bodies on the earth but is also responsible for holding the moon in its orbit around the earth and also the earth and other planets in their orbits around the sun.
