Erg
The unit of work in C.G.S. System is Erg. It is the work done by a force of 1 dyne in moving a body through a distance of 1 cm in the direction of the force.
Foot Pound
The unit of work in B.E. System is Foot Pound. It is the work done when a force of one pound is applied in moving a body through a distance of 1 foot in the direction of the force.
