Difference Between Speed And Velocity
Distance covered by a body in unit time in any direction is called Speed, but the distance covered in unit time in a definite direction is called Velocity. Actually both are the rate of Motion but the Velocity is concerned with direction also. Hence we can say that Speed is Scalar Quantity and Velocity is Vector Quantity.
