What do you understand by Electric Potential?
Electric Potential
When two insulated charged conductors A and B are placed in contact or are connected by means of a conducting wire, the electrical charge will flow from one conductor to the other, (suppose) from A to B. But this flow stops after a very short time. In such case the body A from which electricity (lows is said to be at a higher potential than the body B to which electricity passes. When no charge passes from the one to the other, the two are said to be at the same potential. Hence Potential of a body may be regarded as the electric condition of the body that determines whether electricity will how from it to the other body or vice versa when they are placed in contact with each other.
