State and explain Newton’s second Law of Motion.
Statement of Newton’s Second Law of Motion
When an external force acts on a body, it will accelerate the body in the direct ion of the force. The magnitude of the force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the acceleration.
Explanation
It is well known fact that if we push a body with greater force then its velocity increases and change of velocity takes place in the direction of the force, if we apply a certain force F on a mass m then it moves with certain velocity in the direction of the force. if the force becomes twice then its velocity will also become twice. In this way if we go an increasing the force, then its velocity goes on increasing or it can be said that by more incre.se in force, there is more increase in velocity i.e. Acceleration.
