To the Principal of your college, praying for the establishment of a canteen in the college campus

Sir,

Most respectfully I, on behalf of the students of your college, beg to approach you with the prayer for the establishment of a canteen in our college campus.

You are aware of tile fact that the college has now a roll strength of about 3000. Most of the students are day scholars and come to college from far and near places early in the morning. It is needless to point out that they feel hungry and are each to have some light refreshment, but none is available here. Being helpless, some of the students take their tiffin and tea from bazar shops, but this is most undesirable on hygienic grounds.

Furthermore, it reflects discredit on us all that a big college like ours should not have a canteen of its own to cater to the needs of its students.

I, therefore, hope that the matter would receive your immediate and sympathetic attention.
