Last Sunday our college cricket team played a friendly one day cricket match of 25 over against Govt. Zeeshan College No. 2 Lyon in the K.P.T. Ground, Karachi. Both teams were quite strong and no one could predicate who would win the match.
The opposite team’s captain won the toss and sent us to field. Our captain come out with his team. The match started at 9.00 am., but the spectators had reached the playground from early morning. The batsmen of the opposite team were strong against our bowlers. However they were all out for 125 runs.educationsight.blogspot.com Then we started batting confidently and got twenty-five runs without a loss. But within the next five minutes the game looked an unexpected turn and both of our batsman were out, Our only hope was our captain. He rose to the occasion and started punishing their bowlers mercilessly and took the score to 101 runs.
Now the rival teams captain made quick bowling changes, but our batsmen were hopeful. There was one hit to the boundary and two more runs. Their bowlers tried their best but our batsmen opened out their shoulders and lifted the ball almost within a yard of the boundary.
Thus we won the match. The drums and bugles sounded, crackers cracked and everybody praised our players. We returned home happily.
