Technical Education aims at training an individual in some particular branch of knowledge or trade. Technical Education is the need of the present time because we live in the Machine Age. Technical Education has a great importance in itself, because its importance is not only in the life of an individual but also in the life of a nation. Huge dams are being built and multi-purpose protects are being established. We want to keep pace with the advanced countries of the world, so it is necessary to mechanize our beloved country.
Today the progress of any nation depends on her industry and mechanized agriculture, without which a solid economy will not be possible. An advanced country is bound to have a large number of technically trained and skilled men. If our students are given technical education, they would get employment in any industry. Some may be employed in mills, some in firms and some in factories. Above all, the industries of the country would advance and national wealth would stop flowing into foreign countries. Therefore, The government should keenly feel that there are very few technical institutions, and more technical institutions should be opened.
