Short Story on "The Fox and the Crane"

Once a fox decided to befool a crane. She invited the crane to enjoy a feast. As the guest arrived, the fox put some soup before the crane, in a flat dish. The poor crane could not dip its long, pointed beak into the soup. He remained hungry, but the fox finished1the soup within no time. The crane returned home hungry and angry at the cunning trick of the fox. He made up his mind to teach a lesson to the fox. Therefore, the crane invited the fox to dinner, when the fox reached there, she saw that the crane had put fish soup in a jar.educationsight.blogspot.com The jar had a long and narrow neck. The fox tried to reach the soup but failed. On the other hand, the crane put his long beak into the jar and finished the soup the fox remained hungry. She realized that the crane had made a plan to teach her a lesson. She returned home without eating anything.

Moral: “As you sow, so shall you reap.”
