Man loves the beauty of nature. Green trees, colorful flowers, beautiful lakes and streams have always given film joy and happiness. There was a time when the greater part of this earth was covered with forests. As man progressed, he cleared the forests to make his villages and cities. As the population of human beings increased, the forests began to recede. With the beginning of the industrial revolution, bigger and bigger cities began to grow. Vast industrial estates began to spread on miles and inkles of land which was once rich with natural beauty. This is why some people who loved beauty and nature protested against the Industrial Revolution.

Today, Pakistan, too, has entered the industrial age. Our cities are becoming bigger and bigger. They are already overcrowded. The factories are ever pouring out enormous clouds of smoke into the air.educationsight.blogspot.com On every side you find new structures of brick and concrete being built every day. The gardens and parks are vanishing.

The parks and gardens are not only the things of beauty. Of course they are beautiful and are sources of happiness. But they are also very necessary for the physical health of human beings. They help in making the climate pleasant. They preserve the under ground water. They attract rainfall. They purify the air. Parks and gardens are useful in So many ways that it is necessary to preserve them at all costs. New parks should be developed in big cities. They will provide much needed open space for the people to breathe in fresh air. They will be a blessing for the people who work hard in over-crowded factories and live in small suffocating houses. A stroll in the park will sooth their tired eyes and calms their nerves. Machines may not care for beauty and nature, bit man does. This is what makes his life bearable in this noisy and sick world.
