Allama lqbal is my favourite poet. He is our national poet. He was born at Sialkot on 9th November, 1877. He received his early education in his home town. He passed his MA. in 1899 from the University of the Punjab. In the same year, he was appointed Professor of Arabic at the Oriental college, Lahore. He held this job till 1905. In 1905 he went to England for higher studies. He received a law degree in England and a degree of Ph.D. from Germany. He was well versed in Eastern and Western philosophy.
Allama lqbal awoke the sleeping Muslim nation by his poetry.educationsight.blogspot.com He wrote many poems for the Muslims. He wrote some poems for the children. His poems are full of good ideas. He gave us the idea of Pakistan and the Quaid-i-Azom turned his dream into reality. Allama lqbal died on 21 April, 1938, and was buried in the heart of Lahore. May his soul rest in peace. Amen
